NB: Look over to the left for the baby's due date / how many weeks' preggers I am

The Mist

I knew I was in trouble when one of the main characters was a young boy, not only Felix's age but looking like Felix...

I had to wait until everyone had left at the end, cos I was embarrassed by the strength of my reaction. I can't say any more though. Spoilers.

Suffice to say it's a good film, and the ending is strong and makes no concessions.

And of course the scaring-the-baby-out theory was rather spoiled by the fact that adrenaline tends to halt labour: Evolution's way of giving primitive mothers-to-be a chance to escape danger... and also a reason why fear is the last thing you need during childbirth, and you should do everything in your power to ensure labouring mothers remain relaxed...

Still, I've had lots of contractions today (but not during the film - like I said, adrenaline). So. Fingers crossed.

what a shame you didn't give birth in the movie theatre. It would have been a cool story to tell your girl/boy!

Happy Birthday, Clare, and I'm so glad you didn't give birth in the cinema! Hope it comes soon; I can't imagine how big you are now...

Happy Birthday! At least your birthday will remain your own now. Hope something starts happening soon though!

The film is good but the book is better. Perhaps not for labour, maybe... ;)

I already posted this somewhere, I'm sure, but can't see it, so apologies if I'm repeating myself...

Happy belated birthday and good good good luck with all your endeavours, both baby and books.
