Well it's true.
They don't.

Random Wibble from a Textually Loquacious Word Freak
I’m a freelance writer and software engineer, I’ve just sold my second novel, and I can hold thirty-one pencils under each breast. During my 38 years on the planet I’ve been a Scrabble fanatic, a trapeze artist, a maths and philosophy graduate, a cleaner, a revolutionary socialist, a hedonist, a lesbian vegetarian women-only workers’ co-op member and a meat-eating heterosexual computer programmer. I live in inner city Manchester, in a decrepit house with bits of old ship in the cellar, a dismembered shop dummy in the garden, a child on the sofa and a journalist in the bed. I once went to trapeze lessons for a whole year. I loved being upside down and in the sky, but I wasn’t very good at it. I was never really a trapeze artist. An interview with me. Me Me Me Me Me.

I'm really feeling it this week. It's making me more tired than ever!
But then I have to one-up you and announce that I was pregnant in the American desert in the summer so I was far hotter than you. Which is what pregnant and once-were-pregnant women do isn't it? They support via unsympathetic personal stories? S'okay, you can nail me with the I-was-deathly-ill-for-two-pregnancies thing and all I can reply is... erm... preeclampsia? Once? For the last few weeks? Oh hell.
Helen, hopefully you'll get your energetic blooming middle trimester kicking in soon, and helping with that tired feeling.
Megan, I wouldn't be able t cope with American-desert-in-summer even if I WASN'T pregnant, so you definitely win points for that!
There must have been something in the water last summer/autumn... I know 4 women who are due to pop in the next 8 weeks.
The one time I went over to the USA I remember a few "heat" incidents... A nose bleed at the grand canyon, not staying overnight in Pheonix despite planning to because I couldn't handle the heat and once, as we were heading to Death Valley, I refused to get out of the car for a photo because the car had air conditioning.
I don't do hot heat. I don't do cold either....
I do pleasantly warm with a light breeze.
Me too!
