But it Huuuuuuurts
I can't even use one of those polo-shaped cushions people use for piles (not that I have one anyway) cos the sore bit is right on the part that would have contact with the cushion.
There's now a sore swollen red patch all around the bite with a diameter of 10cm, and ow ow ow ow OW.
And every time I get up or sit down again, it just gets worse. And it hurts to walk. And I'm convinced it'll stop me going to Spain or stop me from doing yoga or get all infected and manky while I'm away so that I have to have my leg amputated in Spain.
Does anyone know if the Spanish are any good at amputations?

Clare! I found you! Sorry to hear about your insect bite. What else have I missed? I moved (address below).
Okay, it's not actually -below- but attached to my name ABOVE instead. You get the idea.
Morgan, hello!
I wondered where you'd gone. I'll update my blogroll.
News? Well, my webspace provider has gone tits up, and I've had to move the blog elsewhere. Ooh yes, and I have a literary agent and my book is going to Frankfurt Book Fair! Woohoo! And now I'm panicking about last-minute edits. How about you?
dear clare, thanks ever so for dropping by recently. It was lovely to see you. Sorry to hear of your current indisposition. Not sure what the spanish position on amputations is but just in case the need arises to see a man with a saw while you're out there, best make very sure beforehand you never mix up the spanish words for left and right
bloody hell by the way, with respect to getting a visit at my blog from somebody who actually writes stuff that people pay to read! bloody hell again. bye for now
Clare - I sympathise - vile biting creatures haunt my nights at the mo, and no, not bed bugs. I think that as manky as it gets, amputation is unlikely to be necessary. If a Spanish doctor waves a machete about, just leave quickly and head for a tube of Anthisan instead.

Trust me, it's not as impressive as it sounds. Well, either that or my self loathing and moving goal posts have led me to downplay my achievements...

Sadly antihistamines were having no effect. It's OK though, it turned out it was massively infected and I'm now on a course of antibiotics which have already started working.
