Hurrah for Rob
You know what? I just realised that although I said lots of nice stuff in comments boxes, the only visible feedback from me on Rob's guest week is some snipey thing about enjoying editing somebody else's posts...
So I thought I'd better rectify that.
Rob performed above and beyond the call of duty, and it was a lovely treat to read and comment on such great posts on my own blog when I got back from Wales.
Three cheers for Rob! And don't forget he now has his very own blog, Eine Kleine Nichtmusik. I know a few of you have already followed him over there, and the rest should follow suit.
As for me, after a little blogging indulgence this week, I'm now going back to the autobiographical novel snippets plan. I'll post a new one on my birthday (this Sunday). I'm also taking part in Mike's latest project, so if you keep an eye on his blog over the next couple of weeks you'll see a post or two of mine over there.

That's all right Clare: I never really thanked you properly in public for letting me have a blog (working, and with pictures and everything) to play about in.

I'll agree - he did a great job (but he's no Clare). And now he has his own place for us to visit! Sounds like you converted him, or at least did the final push.
