{HUGS} for everyone in London
A thread full of Londoners talking about it. Not a reliable source of info, but somehow reassuring...

I’m a freelance writer, I’ve just written my second novel, and I can hold seventeen pencils under each breast. During my 37 years on this planet I’ve been a Scrabble fanatic, a trapeze artist, a maths and philosophy graduate, a cleaner, a revolutionary socialist, a hedonist, a lesbian vegetarian women-only workers’ co-op member and a meat-eating heterosexual computer programmer. I live in inner city Manchester, in a decrepit house with bits of old ship in the cellar, a dismembered shop dummy in the garden, a child on the sofa and a journalist in the bed. I once went to trapeze lessons for a whole year. I loved being upside down and in the sky, but I wasn’t very good at it. I was never really a trapeze artist. An interview with me. Me Me Me Me Me.

Panic and chaos are their biggest weapons. London has millions of people in it - chances are everyone you know will be fine.
Am hearing several stories of near-misses, though. All too awful. And of course enormous sympathy to anyone directly affected.
its crazy how it took place in edgeware road and aldgate east though- predominantly arab and indian areas of london....
Yep, near misses. But at least they ARE misses. Don't know about you guys, but I'm not getting much work done today.
I keep trying to work. I keep failing. It's incredibly hard to concentrate.
Reminds me horribly of 9/11. I was in work that day too. Still, thank fvck the carnage is comparable. I just heard a statistic of 45 dead, 1000 injured. But that was from Sky News, who are hardly the world's most reliable source of info.
Of course, that was supposed to say the carnage is NOT comparable.
I'm thanking God that my son is safe and thanking God for Tom Reynolds and his colleages.
